BLESSED
To say that my family is blessed, is an understatement. To say that we are perfect is a lie. To say that we are in love with each other all the time stretches the boundaries of believability some of the time.
We are just like every other family on this planet. We love, we dislike, we cry, we laugh, we get frustrated with each other, we take each other for granted more than we should, but I know we love each other deeply.
I just finished reading a blog about another family so like ours and yet so different. While we each have burdens unique to our family, we all have burdens. The common unifier between this family and mine is we have JESUS to carry those burdens for us.
I am surround by people living in difficult situations but refusing to be defined by them. As a ministry assistant in the largest church in East Texas, I see pain and suffering daily. Yet, time after time, what I perceive as incredibly hard, they see as a blessing from the Lord.
We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! 1 Cor. 13:12
Oh, to continually grasp this truth for ourselves. This is a journey we should all take.
